ricaemia (high uric acid levels in the blood).
Febustat 40 tablet contains febuxostat as its active ingredient. Febustat 40 helps lower the raised uric acid levels in the blood, which can also lead to a condition known as hyperuricaemia. When the
uric acid levels in the blood increase than the normal level, it results in gouty arthritis. It is an anti-gout medicine. Febustat 40 tablet acts by inhibiting the chemical substance xanthine oxidase responsible for the formation of uric acid, thus lowering the serum uric acid levels. This medicine should not be used by children below 18 years of age.
