Puradine OZ Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Povidone Iodine and Ornidazole. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic applied on skin which is infected or is likely to get infected. It slowly releases iodine which kills or prevents the growth of infectious microorganisms. Ornidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. If this side effect or any other symptoms persist for a longer duration which you think is because of this medicine, please inform your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or are suffering from any other disease. This medicine is safe to use in breastfeeding mothers. It kills and prevents the growth of infection-causing microbes as well as helps in wound healing. Puradine OZ Ointment is an antiseptic that is used for the treatment and prevention of wound infection. It may be used in first aid for minor cuts, burns, abrasions, ulcers and blisters.
